Practical questions
Suspected heart attack in Dubai: do not book and wait
If you suspect a heart attack, call ambulance 998 in Dubai now. Chest discomfort with breathlessness, sweating, nausea or pain spreading elsewhere can be an emergency, and presentations can vary. Do not wait for a website reply, a home visit or an online diagnosis to decide that emergency assessment is needed.
General information for adults. Not a substitute for medical assessment.

Do not rely on the television version of a heart attack
A heart attack may not look like a person dramatically clutching the chest. Symptoms can differ and may be less obvious than expected. New concerning chest symptoms or sudden severe illness should not be dismissed as indigestion or stress without assessment. A normal home device reading cannot rule out a heart attack.

Make the emergency call before gathering documents
Tell the operator the location, symptoms, when they started and whether the person is responsive and breathing normally. Follow the instructions and make access easier if safe. Do not delay the call to locate insurance paperwork, compare providers or ask an information website about consultation fees.

Let emergency guidance determine the immediate actions
Keep the person as comfortable and safe as possible while following the dispatcher’s advice. Do not give new medicines based on a blog or another person’s prescription. If the person becomes unresponsive or is not breathing normally, tell the operator immediately and follow CPR/AED instructions. A routine home consultation is not a replacement for emergency hospital assessment.
